We are the Scandinavian importer of the French made Kamikaz xtreme karts and very soon we are going to manufacture our own Swedish made kart.

like to have and drive this type of cars so on the drawing board is a special made chassi for this. However we have not solved the controls for it yet and as an owner for many years of an Expert system I know I don’t need to look somewhere else to find what we need, we want to use the Flatshifter products.

This type of cars runs on 4 cylinder motorcycle engines 600cc yamaha R6, gsxr 600, and Kawasaki 600.

We have used the flatshifter Max for a couple of year with zero problems. Of course we also won the Runoffs with it the first time we used it.

SPIRE BIKE ENGINED SPORTS CAR REFERRAL USING FLATSHIFTER EXPERT, MAX & PADDLES BELOW
Hi Graham
I hope you are well.
Just a couple of things,
Firstly i would like to say thanks for making such a brilliant product!! The Flatshifter Expert , Max and paddle system truly are wonderful piece`s of equipment and makes driving the car an even better experience. This year has been a pretty special year for us, I won the class and overall Bike sports Championship, lead apart of every race and won 4 outright. In a championship that has been dominated pretty well by Radical in the last few years, this was our first year in Bike sports and we entered in the class with the least Horse Power. we estimate our 1000cc Honda Fireblade is around 60HP down on the big 1500cc Radical SR3 but we still managed to beat them on the road.To top off our year we entered a team in the 750mc Birkett 6hr race. We lead the race on and off for 5 hrs until one of our cars was involved in an accident which put us over a minute behind the leading Radical team for my last 30min stint. I passed the leading Radical on the last lap to win the race outright. Unfortunately one of our other drivers incurred a 30sec penalty for speeding in the pit lane which was added to our time which resulted in us being classified 2nd. (but we won really)we also carried on our winning streak in the 750mc RGB championship with Matt Higginson winning the championship. The Spire’s are now unbeaten in 28 races in RGB with wins going to Tim (2012) and Matt Higginson, Alistair Boulton and John Cutmore all winning this year.To top off our year of winning, both cars have been awarded the Best Prepared Car award in each championship. We are currently well under way in our 2014 development and we are building a new car for Bike sports, it has become very apparent that we don’t really need a clutch pedal with your Flatshifter system so we are going to build the new car with 2 pedals. Here are a few links to some videos of the car with your super systems!Mallory Park in 43s: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wj7Jc27929g

Hi Graham,
I fitted the Flatshifter Expert & paddle shift kit to my off road racing buggy, i find it very precise and reliable when racing, in my last 5 events i finished with 4 wins and a second and the second was my own fault as i was leading all day and i changed my tyres and forgot to check the tyre pressure`s. I find that i can concentrate more on my driving as i don’t have to lift my hands of the steering wheel at any stage when i am racing and i can go down 3-4 gears in less than a second so i can leave my braking to the last second.YOUTUBE STEPHEN MOORE NUTTS CORNER June 2015

HI Graham,
We have very successfully run an early version of the quickshifter / Flatshifter gear-change system for the last 10 years on an OMS Sprint car and having studied all of the available makes and types of systems available for a lightweight motor cycle engined single seater for the new car we have constructed for this seasons racing, I decided to use the latest version the Flatshifter Expert. This system is a very well engineered yet simple system, easy to install and set up, a real “Plug and Play” in modern terminology. I became very aware of the overly complicated and programmer reliant systems made by other manufacturers, and of course the significant price differences when these systems require replacement ECUs and other major components.Ian catts superb new car using Expert Max & paddles flatshifter
Having installed the Flatshifter Expert to a Gen2 Hayabusa, with the Flatshifter electronic paddle shift, we have now run the car in two events, both without any faults in the system and winning FTD at Goodwood in only our second time out. I continue to be totally impressed by this system and fully recommend it to others.(FTD = Fastest Time of the Day)

Since fitting the Flatshifter blip it has made downshifts so much easier to the extent now that you just take it for granted. once we set it up we have not had to touch it again.
Hope fully we can carry on from last year & get some more really good results again.

Hi Graham,
This is my first drive with Flatshifter Expert, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0kic2NnaQw Just did my first full track day with a functional Flatshifter installed. It worked absolutely flawlessly! Up shifts under full throttle felt like a really positive automatic with no lift required at all. The downshifts were the real surprise as they were effortless and smooth. The shifts are so quick that there is little worry about unsettling the car, even in turns. All in all, I was really impressed. It was fun to use, easy to install, and not all that expensive compared to other modifications.
HILL CLIMB RACER USING EXPERT SYSTEM.

What is clear is that by allowing me to concentrate on the braking going in to a bend and staying flat on the throttle while up shifting, I gained 1.0 secs per 30 secs of the average sprint or hill climb. In the new Force, I run the latest Flatshifter Expert (John and Graham now having combined their efforts)operated through a conventional gear stick and rod linkage (no paddles for me, they’re strictly for canoes). We had an initial problem that was traced to somebody having reversed the polarity while it was out of our hands supposedly being integrated with the ECU. Customer service was fantastic during this difficult time with John spending hours on the phone doing diagnostics while we were at the track, re-building and testing the system over the weekend and generally being available whenever we needed him to advise. The new system puts the old one in the shade, the upshift is so quick and smooth (soft restore) that initially I had to check the GPI to believe that I’d actually made a change and the downshift has got a lovely positive blip and is just like a PDK to drive.

The new car’s done 5 events. The engine failed on the first, then 2 FTDs, followed by an FTD and new record then an “off” and 2 burst discs which has put an end to the season. grumpy
Roll on 2012!

Hi Graham,
VIR In-car video is up on YouTube!! Check it out and it will show you how awesome your system works. It worked great at VIR! We won both races and set a new track record by 1.1 seconds! (Expert system). Feel free to use it or any of my videos for your promotion.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfoQ01ZoxcY&feature=channel_video_titleThank you,

Hi,
A friend of mine recommended a competitors of yours system to me a ********* system but i needed a set of new slicks or a quickshifter, i could not afford both, i purchased your expert system at a third of the price of my friends suggestion bought a new set of slicks & still had money over, and we both now agree that the flatshifter system is a lot better than the ********* system he uses as well !!! awesome bit of kit.Steve

When I found them, I emailed the British site for more information. But, when I was ready to purchase, I was directed to Richard at the U.S.A. site. He has been very helpful and responsive. Chris has also been in touch with them and installed a complete (including paddles) system in at least one D962R. As I said in my 1st post, there’s a lot of bang for the buck with this easy installation.I’d also like to add and stress this, after using my Flatshifter for 1 1/2 seasons, I have no plans to switching to any of the ~$5k + systems. IMHO, there’s much better places to spend the money, alignment equipment for one and especially testing.Lawrence Loshak
Dear Sir,
Powertec Engineering Ltd If you have not heard of us, we build all of the engines for Radical Motorsport. In addition to this we carry out engine rebuilds and tuning on engines for numerous other uses. We have two rolling road dynos, one being a car application. We have had several vehicles in using various quick shifter type gear change units, the best one being your own unit.
I would like to purchase one for us to fit, recommend to customers and then promote on our website etc. We are continually being asked to recommend these systems and have always been reluctant to do so for obvious reasons. If you could let me have any relevant details, i.e price, terms etc it would most appreciated.Regards,

Hi Graham & John,
The installation of the Flatshifter Pro system to my 2009 MNR Vortx (R1) is now completed and is working great! I am very pleased with the quality of the product and the help and support that you guys gave me during the installation process!. The system has taken the car to the next level and is now a lot more fun to drive!
Thanks and best regards,
Jan
Hi Graham,
Picked up the flatshifter at the post office at 6 pm today, Monday. After dinner and putting the kids to bed I went out to the garage and started the installation at 8.30 pm. At midnight I came into the house after a 20 km test-drive with the flatshifter!! Very easy install and impressive results with the system right out of the box, no adjustments. Very pleased indeed.
The only negative comment is that the supplied adaptor for the vacuum feed from the intake had a M 5 thread and the R 1 engine has M 6 threads, but that didn’t matter since I had correct fitment lying in the garage.Overall very pleased and now its time to go to bed with a smile on my face.

Good day Graham,
Just to say a big well done.
We tested the Flatshifter on a circuit yesterday and everybody that was there stood there with their mouths open. Josh was delighted with it. He did some 15 laps, really putting it through it’s paces and the gear changes, both up and down were absolutely faultless, even on the standard settings you suggested.
He now needs to do more mileage simply to get used to the two pedal arrangement and left foot braking.I’ve got a feeling we can sell a few, both here and in Italy. We leave for a hill climb in Italy in just over a week’s time so we are trying to get as much practice in as possible before that, in fact we will be at the circuit again tomorrow evening for a couple of hours, where he’ll be just bashing round to get used to it. I’ve put a gash set of tyres on the car so he can burn them up to his heart’s content.
Thanks again for all your help.Regards
Joe.
Hi Graham,
I had the track day on the weekend, thanks for sending me the info on setting up the Flat-shifter Expert. I’ve had the flat-shifter Pro and fitter it to two different cars, I’ve had it for over 8 years and it has performed faultlessly. I’ve attached a photo for you, the red car has the Pro and the yellow one has the Expert, both cars I designed and built myself.

Flatshifter enables fast and easy full throttle upshifts. It’s like having one really long gear – simply slam the throttle open and bang gears as fast as you possibly can. After experiencing the rapid shifting bliss of the Flatshifter, it makes bikes with conventional shifters passé:

  • Call Graham at flatshifter.com. I’ve used his clutchless up and down shifter for about 3 years now. Excellent product.
  • Yes I fitted the Flatshifter system to lee Adam’s car, in fact fitted them to a few cars now and so far no problems, work a treat, Give Graham @ flatshifter a shout…
  • Yep go for the Flatshifter, ” the dogs bits” for sure as GWR says no probs.
  • As Trev noted I have an SR3 with aero updates so all is good on that front as I won’t be able to make any changes in that respect. Your time saved per shift is quite phenomenal, and reason enough to explore the options let alone the time saved under braking if you were to go for the full Expert kit.

As far as our thoughts on the Max shifter: The Flat Shifter Max is a great solution for our car, it enables us to shift rapidly and reliably in competition. It has proved much more effective than previous shifters we’ve tried.

Thanks

Flatshifter “Shift” on a race TVR (strain gauged gear knob)

Hi graham< we love the gear knob what a difference it makes to the gear change i was short shifting along the pit straight at snett. just to let the lads here the noise it makes as it changes gears its a seamless change which not only makes for a better lap time but takes that shock out of the drive chain that you get as you let the clutch out with a normal change no in car camera at the moment but as soon as, i will let you have the footage Tim hood
WE RECENTLY SUPPLIED 3 X FLATSHIFTER “SHIFT” STRAIN GAUGED GEAR KNOBS FOR THREE MITSUBISHI LANCER EX WORKS DAKAR RALLY CARS ,THE OWNERS COMMENTS WAS:

Hi Graham,I think the best thing is that we totally forgot about them because we didn’t had any issues with them at all. I will look in our picture database and send you some of them. We don’t have any video because it was not allowed to carry a onboard camera during the stages.

I will check with RTL because we carried a onboard camera from the organization in one of the cars for a couple days.
Will send you more tomorrow when I am in the office.
